Shamlaji Temple

Shamlaji temple is situated on the banks of the river Meshwo in the northeast of the Arvalli district. This place is very ancient. The architecture of the temple is unique. There are countless fossils found which are evidence of city in ancient times. The history of who built this temple is not available. But 1500 years ago this city is believed to exist. 

The ancient times of Shamlaji were as beautiful as the town of Chandrapri. There was a dam built on Meshwo river near Shamlaji. 

The pilgrims here celebrate the Dipotsavi festival on Kartikini Poonam. There are thousands of tourists visiting shamlaji on every Poonam. There is a big fair here in Kartiki Poonam. There are a large number of people in it.
